Design Assist

Design Assist

Before the construction industry coined the phrase "Design Assist", Borrell Electric has assisted architects and engineers during the design phase in the majority of their projects. By being actively involved during this time, we are able to help reduce the duration of the schedule, develop cost efficient solutions, and improve the timeliness of construction.

During this stage, Borrell takes a collaborative approach to ensure that an extensive review of the preliminary documents is conducted. At this time, our project managers develop cost estimates, provide in depth analysis of electrical system requirements, and identify anticipated obstacles that might affect the project. They also provide recommendations to the design team regarding equipment, system selections, and costs. Similarly, our project superintendents will be reviewing the plans. They verify that the proposed design is buildable, confirm if schedule milestones can be achieved and accurately coordinate electrical event durations. After the Project Managers and Superintendents assigned to the project assess the design, we conduct a complete review by the Borrell Home Office. During this time Senior Project Managers/Estimators will offer suggestions based on the most recent developments in the industry to complete the Design Assist.

We have found that this process provide the highest level of electrical system integrity and best overall value to the end user.
