USF Center for Advanced Medical Learning

The University of South Florida Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) is a state of the art, three story medical teaching facility in the heart of downtown Tampa. USF CAMLS incorporates simulation technology, aviation science, team training, and the latest advances in healthcare into practice. This a mixed-use facility which includes offices, classrooms, and laboratories. It includes a 21 stations skills surgical training center, various medical imaging teaching suites, a complete hybrid and trauma operating lab, a vivarium, da Vinci robotics lab, and several auditoriums, classrooms, and offices.

The USF CAMLS building was a three story, 90,000 square new construction facility with an electrical value of $3,000,000.00. This project had a compressed eight month schedule that had to be met in order for USF to be able to occupy and begin classes. Borrell’s expertise in the healthcare and laboratory construction sectors made Borrell a vital partner in ensuring that the project was delivered on time and within budget.
