We feel that the pre-construction phase of a project is the most important time ensure that the project is delivered on time and within budget. Our proven experience, collaborative approach, and open-book policy provides our customers and team members with the highest level of service during the pre-construction phase. During this time, we provide continual real time cost estimates and identify several options for cost savings to maintain tight control of the project budget. We develop accurate cost estimates, analyze the project’s electrical requirements, and provide input to the electrical system, constructability issues, and costs. We identify any and all cost savings opportunities, while preserving the quality and integrity of the buildings electrical system.
Our organizational structure is ideal for the Collaborative Design and Construction Project Delivery Method. Before Collaborative, Design, and Construction was adopted as a project delivery method, we implemented these concepts with everyone of our projects. On every project, Our Project Managers and Superintendents carry out a job from inception to close out to ensure a seamless transition through every part of the construction process. We utilize the latest technologies for coordination and throughout the electrical infrastructure installation. Our ability to implement this in everyone of our projects increases value to the owner, reduces waste, and maximizes efficiency.
Borrell Electric’s BIM/VDC Department is on the forefront of innovation. We use the latest technology to streamline building formation modeling services for our customers. Our BIM/VDC Managers work directly with our Field Superintendents to identify the most efficient installation to optimize material cost savings and ease of building maintenance. We also have the ability to create virtual models of the electrical system to provide the owner with a tool to efficiently manage and maintain their facility throughout the life of the building.
With over 20 trained medium voltage technicians, we self-perform all 600V to 15,600V electrical infrastructure systems. This includes a complete installation of all medium voltage equipment, cabling, terminations, and acceptance testing. Our technicians have performed medium voltage work in the most complex situations, successfully performing thousands of changeovers and feeds in existing facilities without interruption to their operations. Each of our technicians are trained, certified, and exceed the highest safety practices in accordance with NFPA 70e.
With the latest industry technology, we provide power quality metering and testing to analyze the state of our customer’s electrical infrastructure. We are able to monitor and provide accurate readings to identify anomalies, power quality events and, to help our customer’s determine the reliability of their system’s electrical infrastructure. Our meters provide to the minute recordings of every aspect of the system’s power quality and transients in an easy to read report.
