Tampa International Airport
Airside C
The Tampa International Airport Airside C is a new 300,000 square foot airside terminal at TIA. This
project was completed in 2005 with a total construction budget of $65,000,000.00. Borrell Electric
provided the electrical service, access control, fire alarm, and telecommunications installation. The
electrical scope of work included interior lighting, site lighting, lighting controls, and electrical power
installation. The electrical service consisted of 4000A double-end unit substations, five 2000A
distribution panels, and a 750 kW emergency generator. Borrell Electric successfully completed the
project with a compressed schedule, and within budget with a value of $5,600,000.00.
