Advent Health Wesley Chapel

The Wesley Chapel Medical Center is a 200,000 square foot, new hospital in Pasco County. This total contract value for this project is approximately $120,000,000.00 and will be a three story healthcare facility with 80 patient beds. The project includes a hospital, medical office building, wellness center, outpatient clinic services, and central energy plant. The Wesley Chapel Medical Center broke ground in January 2011, and is expected to complete construction in 18-24 months.

Borrell Electric Co., Inc. was awarded the contract for this project based on an integrated project delivery method. During the preconstruction phase, Borrell reduced the electrical budget by 8% through innovative solutions. The preconstruction phase also included a three dimensional MEP Coordination process. The three dimensional coordination was successfully completed and resulted in less field conflicts, which is reflected in the schedule. The project is currently in the trim out phase, and is three months ahead of schedule. At the project completion, the owner will receive a complete three dimensional building model that incorporates the as built conditions, and specifications and O&M Manual for all material and equipment. The electrical contract value for this project is $14,000,000.00, and has not had any change orders that weren’t owner directed.
